The nicest cafe on the island. We were on Amrum for a week for the first time, but every possible day in the Friesen-Cafe. Great ambience, delicious cakes, especially the Friesian and eggnog cake. Very attentive and friendly service ... Delicious selection of tea & coffee We will be back

Nice cafe in the heart of the island. Here the egg grog really tastes like egg grog. There are also good cakes, but also hearty ones (e.g. a leek quiche on sweet shortcrust pastry - an extraordinary but great combination). Friendly service. All in all, a place for a relaxed stop - but only when there is not so much going on. At peak times it is a little uncomfortable / hectic (therefore a small point deduction)

Super cute cafe in the 21st century! It is very pleasing that you can see the cake menu here via QR code. Plus delicious teas in large pots. There is also a large selection here. Good service.

Nice, well-kept garden. Very tasty cakes and hearty dishes. We can recommend the egg grog, the Friesian cherry cake and the leek quiche. The waitresses were very attentive and helpful. We would love to come back.

Very delicious homemade cakes, pies and quiche, beautifully designed menu - in terms of content as well as optically / haptically. The service staff are very courteous and the hygiene concept such as Scan the QR code in the menu to make the best choice, simply brilliant. The atmosphere invites you to linger in the beautiful hydrangea garden ... and simply try the menu up and down. A good TIP: the egg grog was simply delicious 😋

Very nice ambience! We sat in the garden next to the house. The very best choice when the weather is nice!

Always worth a visit. Whether it is the classic Frisian cake or Frisian waffle or, as now, the pistachio cake with pistachio liqueur, always delicious. Kudos to the service in these times for how patiently they deal with impatient and sometimes rude customers.

After a short, corona-related waiting time, we were seated. The Friesentorte tasted excellent and the service was not the fastest but friendly!

Top plum cake, delicious coffee and nice service. The potato soup is great too! Nice atmosphere with lots of funny sayings on the wall. Always happy.

In summer the garden with the beach chair places is a nice place (... unfortunately often very crowded during the main season). The new dining room inside has also been attractively designed. Compared to others (e.g. Café Schult in Norddorf) the range of cakes and pies is rather manageable.

The Friesen-Café is a starting point on Amrum that everyone should plan in advance. A nice café with a typical Frisian ambience. The fresh cakes not only look delicious, they also taste extremely good! Either a good coffee or a cup of tea. There are nicely decorated ice cream surprises for the children. We really enjoyed our stay and were very satisfied with the current service. Special eye-catchers: in the café there are funny sayings on the walls that make one or the other smile.

A house with tradition and an institution on Amrum for decades. You don't even have to talk about the Friesentorte ... it is known far beyond the borders of Amrum. The delicious soups or the fantastic red grits should be mentioned all the more. When the weather is nice, you should definitely try to get one of the seats in the wonderful garden. What I think is great that reservations are not possible. So everyone has the opportunity to get a table at short notice. Super nice conditions that take care of your well-being. And of course currently the usual corona-related restrictions that are friendly but firmly enforced. Mask refusers with a penchant for conspiracy theories should therefore reconsider their attitude 😁👍.

Nice looking café, but after 15 minutes of waiting (with children) and asking you were not served. Many guests who came later got before. The service was bad that day. We then left, but nobody noticed ...

In the second attempt (the day before it was too busy) we were lucky and managed to get a table for 4. The two soups were very tasty and the ice cream with Frisian waffles was great too. The two waitresses were also extremely nice - the corona rules were well explained and implemented.

Warm, savoury food available, as well as delicious cakes. Cosy interior, interesting decor, friendly staff. Not much space, tables a bit crammed and you can definitely hear what your neighbours are chatting about. Still, we had a lovely time and were made to feel welcome here.

Very cute little coffeshop with amazing waffles. Definitely recommend this place for a coffe break!
